6. Hoard Database

The main umbrella structure is the hdb.

• hdb (persistent)
• HDB entries
• priority queue
• resource limits

The entries in the hdb are hdbent:

• hdbent - a single entry (persistent)
• object represented as vid, path
• uid
• priorty
• flags (c+, d+?)
• link to name context

Name contexts are used for renames:

• name context -- for directory expansion (persistent)
• uid
• priority
• flags (inuse? expanded? etc.)
• links to
  • expanded children
  • parent (back pointer to expander)
  • HDB priority queue
