I am releasing the rpms that I am using for my coda installation. ftp://ee.yale.edu/pub/coda/ coda-4.0.5-1_yale_2.0.30.src.rpm coda-client-4.0.5-1_yale_2.0.30.i386.rpm coda-docs-4.0.5-1_yale_2.0.30.i386.rpm coda-server-4.0.5-1_yale_2.0.30.i386.rpm Here are the important changes from the standard coda-4.0.5-1 rpms (a) Compiled for the linux 2.0.30 kernel (the .o modules are incompatible between 2.0.29 and 2.0.30). (b) Has the full set of /etc/services in the venus setup script. (c) Renamed /usr/man/man8/fsck and /usr/man/man8/shutdown so that they don't conflict with the preexisting ones (someday someone may rename them in a better way, but for now, I just added "coda-" to the front of the file name for those two. Otherwise this is the coda-4.0.5 release 1 from CMU. Also, I signed it. Check my web page for my pgp public key. I tested the coda-client rpm by installing it on a machine that had never seen coda before, and then starting "/usr/sbin/venus -init", and the testserver data appeared in /coda. I have not really tested the other rpms, but the spec files have not really changed either... Please let me know if you see problems, or if this is helpful. -Bradley Prof. Bradley C.
