Ok, I started 
 authmon
with no arguments

It seems to be running.  The log is in /vice/auth2

Now I cannot seem to authenticate with au
 I tried
  admin with no password 
  admin with my password 
  admin with root password 
  my login with my password
 nothing worked.

How do I get authenticated the first time so I can change my password?
