I have a couple Linux (Redhat 5.2, kernel 2.0.36) boxes that I'm using to *attempt* to try Coda. I've downloaded the most recent Coda rpm's, 5.0.1. One is configured as a Coda server, very meticulously, according to the directions. It is also a client. I can successfully start venus on that box, and cd /coda to look around. However, I cannot "clog" or change my password. No matter what I do, I always get "Invalid login (RPC2_NOTAUTHENTICATED (F))." I believe I have followed the steps for setting up authentication carefully, but obviously something is not working right. On my strictly client box, I try to start venus, and I get an endless stream of GetRootVolume: can't get volinfo for root volume (/coda)! I know there is a volume /coda, because I can look around in it on the server/client box. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Any clues as to where I have gone astray? What additional info should I provide? -- Carl Benson, UNIX SysAdmin (206-667-4862, cbenson_at_fhcrc.org)Received on 1999-02-10 17:54:44
