Greets,

I recently setup CODA and succeeded in setting up the server
(apparently), however - venus setup on my client reports:

Date: Sun 01/09/2000
10:02:11 /usr/coda/LOG setup for size 0x87cc7
10:02:12 /usr/coda/DATA initialized at size 0x21f31c

10:02:12 loading recoverable store
10:02:12 starting VSGDB scan
10:02:12 0 vsg entries in table
10:02:12 0 vsg entries on free-list
10:02:12 starting VDB scan
10:02:12 1 vol entries in table (0 MLEs)
10:02:12 0 vol entries on free-list (0 MLEs)
10:02:12 starting FSDB scan (833, 20000) (25, 75, 4)
10:02:12 0 cache files in table (0 blocks)
10:02:12 833 cache files on free-list
10:02:12 starting HDB scan
10:02:12 0 hdb entries in table
10:02:12 0 hdb entries on free-list
>>10:02:12 Kernel version ioctl failed (Inappropriate ioctl for device)!<<
>>10:02:12 2.3 or later kernels require an updated kernel module!<<
10:02:12 Initial LRDB allocation
10:02:12 Getting Root Volume information...
>>10:02:13 GetRootVolume: can't get volinfo for root volume (coda:root)!<<

The lines encapsulated in >><< are the problem ... I don't understand
what's going on. I had Coda server/client running previously on
2.2.13/2.2.12 (server/client, respectively) and it seemed fine.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you.

Regards,
Brice Ruth
