I have successfully installed a Coda server and client running on RedHat 6.2. When I tried to start venus on a second machine as just a client I get the following errors in the /var/log/messages Jun 13 09:28:23 maple kernel: Coda Kernel/Venus communications (module), v5.0-pre1, braam_at_cs.cmu.edu. Jun 13 09:28:23 maple kernel: coda_psdev_write: downcall, no SB! Jun 13 09:28:25 maple kernel: coda_read_super: rootfid is (0x7f000000,0x1,0x1) Jun 13 09:28:40 maple kernel: coda_downcall: opcode 30, no sb! Jun 13 09:28:40 maple kernel: Failure of coda_cnode_make for root: error -110 Jun 13 09:50:14 maple kernel: Coda Kernel/Venus communications (module), v5.0-pre1, braam_at_cs.cmu.edu. Jun 13 10:07:09 maple last message repeated 2 times Jun 13 10:07:09 maple kernel: coda_read_super: rootfid is (0x7f000000,0x1,0x1) Jun 13 10:07:24 maple kernel: coda_downcall: opcode 30, no sb! Jun 13 10:07:25 maple kernel: Failure of coda_cnode_make for root: error -110 I assume I forgot one of the setup steps, but what? ----------- Also, the file /usr/sbin/venus-setup from the rpm file coda-debug-client-5.3.7-1.i386.rpm references a utility called codaconfedit which is not in any of the rpms that I can find.
