Hello all, I'm experiencing troubles configuring a cluster of two servers with replicating vice-servers. My layout: /vice/hostname: srv1-back /vice/db/servers: srv1-back 1 srv2-back 2 /vice/db/scm: srv1-back /vice/db/VSGDB: E0000100 srv1-back E0000101 srv2-back E0000104 srv1-back srv2-back /vice/vol/Allvolumes: # [Last line of unsorted volume list] rep_home.guido.0 1000002 srv1-back /vicepa 2 0 0 W 962012796 962012796 0 rep_home.guido.1 2000001 srv2-back /vicepa 2 0 0 W 962012800 962012800 0 voscodaroot.0 1000001 srv1-back /vicepa 2 0 0 W 962012542 962012542 0 /vice/vol/BigVolumeList: P/vicepa Hsrv1-back Ta4e32 Fa4e25 Wvoscodaroot.0 I1000001 H1 P/vicepa m0 M0 U2 W1000001 C3957257e D3957257e B0 A0 Wrep_home.guido.0 I1000002 H1 P/vicepa m0 M0 U2 W1000002 C3957267c D3957267c B0 A0 P/vicepa Hsrv2-back Ta4e32 Fa4e25 Wrep_home.guido.1 I2000001 H2 P/vicepa m0 M0 U2 W2000001 C39572680 D39572680 B0 A0 /vice/vol/RWlist: voscodaroot.0 1000001 srv1-back /vicepa 2 0 0 rep_home.guido.0 1000002 srv1-back /vicepa 2 0 0 rep_home.guido.1 2000001 srv2-back /vicepa 2 0 0 And in /vice/srv/SrvErr.prev: Assertion failed: 0, file "srv.cc", line 1821 VENUS IS EXITING! Bye! /vice/srv/SrvLog: 16:27:07 New SrvLog started at Mon Jun 26 16:27:07 2000 16:27:07 Resource limit on data size are set to 2147483647 16:27:07 Server etext 0x80cacbc, edata 0x8101178 16:27:07 RvmType is Rvm 16:27:07 Main process doing a LWP_Init() 16:27:07 Main thread just did a RVM_SET_THREAD_DATA 16:27:07 Setting Rvm Truncate threshhold to 5. log_recover failed. do_rvm_options failed 16:27:07 rvm_init failed RVM_EIO The installation went fine, but I wonder wheter I got the VSGDB-address for srv2-back right. I had to make a wild guess for that number. After installation, I created a username/password combo, created a replicated volume and mounted it. Then I populated the filesystem with 90 megs of coda-sources. Halfway this transfer it seemed to hang for a short while and then continued. At the silence the server at srv1-back died never to resurrect again. The only solution so far: dpkg --purge and wipe /vice /vicepa/ /rvm/{data|log} Please assist me with this.
