how do I increase my venus cache?

Folks,
This seems to me to be a bit of a dumb question, but I need to
increase my venus cache. The problem I have is that files seem to be
falling out of my cache because I get these messages in my codacon
log:

Replace [status/data] tty.o [45000, 6] ( 20:48:30 )
Replace [status/data] type_ipv4.c [45000, 6] ( 20:48:30 )
Replace [status/data] getch.o [45000, 8] ( 20:48:30 )
Replace [status/data] type_alpha.c [45000, 5] ( 20:48:30 )
Replace [status/data] border.o [45000, 2] ( 20:48:30 )
Replace [status/data] internals.c [45000, 57] ( 20:48:30 )

If I do a hoard walk, I can see that the files named above get fetched
but not long after the same message above happens. My experience is
that if I now disconnect that these files will not be in my local
cache. I have cleaned up my coda volume a bit and the number of files
that come up "Replace" goes down, if I persist they stop as long as I
get rid of enough files. At last count, I had about 730 files in my
cache. I have tried editing venus.conf and increasing the cacheblocks
to 100000, restarting venus (do I need to do a venus -init? I did one
anyway but...) but I still cannot seem to fit all I want to into my
local cache. Help?
