In June 2000 I installed coda on a number of our clients and set up a coda server (a Linux). It all seemed to work rather nicely until I tested the server by simply pulling the power cord. After reboot and a lot of fsck it came up but the coda server just would not restart. And as far as I could tell I would have to restore the backup in that kind of situation. So I simply gave up on coda since this is something it just has to handle if we are to use it. Is this crash sensitivity still there? Server replication is of course nice, but it won't help if there is a power outage, since all the servers will be lost. (UPS:s are nice, but I am not comfortable with them as the last line of defence.) Thank you for any comments.Received on 2001-12-10 10:48:07
