creating the root volume

Hi all.

I just run into the next problem. I simply try to create the coda root
volume named "coda-root", in my setup:

testbed:/ # createvol_rep coda-root E0000100 /vicepa/
Servers are (testbed )
V_BindToServer: binding to host testbed.localnet
GetVolumeList finished successfully
Partition /vicepa/ not found on server testbed.

What should this message tell me? Must /vicepa be a mount-point? The
Manul doesn't make this clear. I tought a simple dirctory is enough
(at least for first tests ...)

I plug an additional disk and reboot :-( ...

Thanks.
