Anyway, if you cannot convince the volume to behave and if your data on this volume is valuable, you have an option of copying all or the vital part of the data from the volume either to a local disk, or to another volume in "strong" mode, or to another host via say (cd .... && tar cf - . | ssh other.host 'cd /bigdisk && tar xf -') Then you can try flushing the volume or reinitializing venus (the latter is preferable if something is broken).
