No, it doesn't look like the venus implementation for CODA_READDIR has returned EOPNOTSUP or something similar for a long time and doesn't even exist anymore in the copy of coda.h that I'm looking at. The CTL_FILE is the Coda alternative to adding additional entries to the syscall table. We use it as the entry point for ioctls that pass user credentials and to set/query acls, quota, volume information and other stuff. In other words it is used by clog, cfs, and repair to have a reliable/authenticated way to pass messages to venus. JanReceived on 2003-09-04 15:28:02
