I have a 2 server setup with a non-replicated codaroot on the SCM from the SCM, I created and mounted a new replicated volume: ============================================================ [root_at_wohrman4 root]# createvol_rep ha.d E0000104 /u1/vice/vicepa V_BindToServer: binding to host wohrman4.ibservers.com Servers are (wohrman4 wohrman1 ) HexGroupId is 7f000005 creating volume ha.d.0 on wohrman4 (partition /u1/vice/vicepa) V_BindToServer: binding to host wohrman4.ibservers.com creating volume ha.d.1 on wohrman1 (partition /u1/vice/vicepa) V_BindToServer: binding to host wohrman1.ibservers.com Fetching volume lists from servers: V_BindToServer: binding to host wohrman1.ibservers.com GetVolumeList finished successfully wohrman1 - success V_BindToServer: binding to host wohrman4.ibservers.com GetVolumeList finished successfully wohrman4 - success V_BindToServer: binding to host wohrman4 VLDB completed. <echo ha.d 7f000005 2 1000006 2000004 0 0 0 0 0 0 E0000104 >> /u1/vice/db/VRList.new> V_BindToServer: binding to host wohrman4 VRDB completed. Do you wish this volume to be Backed Up (y/n)? [n] [root_at_wohrman4 root]# cfs mkmount /coda/ha.d ha.d [root_at_wohrman4 root]# ls /coda apache ha.d [root_at_wohrman4 root]# ls -la /coda total 10 drwxrwxrwx 3 root nfsnobody 2048 Oct 28 10:51 . drwxr-xr-x 23 root root 4096 Oct 28 10:25 .. drwxr-xr-x 12 jbarrett nfsnobody 2048 Oct 27 08:32 apache drwxrwxrwx 2 root nfsnobody 2048 Oct 28 10:50 ha.d [root_at_wohrman4 root]# ls -la /coda/ha.d ls: /coda/ha.d: Resource temporarily unavailable ============================================================ from the SrvLog: 11:00:07 CheckRetCodes: server <wohrman1-ipremoved> returned error 22 11:00:07 ViceResolve:Couldnt lock volume 7f000005 at all accessible servers ============================================================ looking at the db files on the 2nd server, i show no indications of a local volume in any of the VLDB VRDB, or VRList files -- all are blank as created when I did the vice-setup on the server, also, ls /coda on the replicate server does not show the ha.d mountpoint. both systems are running 2.4.20-20.9.um.1 (UltraMonkey kernel for load balancers and redundant servers) and coda-5.3.20 client/server code (the 6.0 client/server code complains about version skew and i have had no luck getting linux-6.0.0 kernel code to build with the UM kernel tree -- and I need this online yesterday) Any ideas what I should look at next to get this resolved ??Received on 2003-10-28 14:11:35
