Excuse me, I need your help, guys. I can't find this in the HOWTO. For this moment, I just want to install a client. Hoping that it can connect to testserver.coda.cs.cmu.edu. I've downloaded and installed these packages,: 1. lwp-1.10-1.i386.rpm 2. rpc2-1.19-1.i386.rpm 3. rvm-1.8-1.i386.rpm 4. coda-client-6.0.1-1.i386.rpm And it seems fine. BTW, I have insmod coda modules before installing them. Then, I did this: ~ venus-setup testserver.coda.cs.cmu.edu 20000 And I got following results: depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.21/kernel/drivers/atm/atmtcp.o depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.21/kernel/net/atm/br2684.o depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.21/kernel/net/atm/lec.o depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.21/kernel/net/atm/mpoa.o depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.21/kernel/net/atm/pppoatm.o depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.21/kernel/net/bridge/bridge.o /etc/services already has new services registered! Good. /etc/services ready for Coda I did recompile my kernel. And I didn't include atm supports indeed, because I won't use it. Or may be I should include them? Because it said that "/etc/services ready for Coda", I assumed that those depmod things are just warnings. So I go to the next step: ~ venus -init Then, I got this result: Date: Wed 11/05/2003 12:18:05 Coda Venus, version 6.0.2 12:18:05 /usr/coda/LOG size is 564564 bytes 12:18:05 /usr/coda/DATA size is 2258256 bytes 12:18:05 Initializing RVM data... 12:18:05 ...done 12:18:05 Loading RVM data 12:18:05 Starting RealmDB scan 12:18:05 Found 1 realms 12:18:05 starting VDB scan 12:18:05 0 volume replicas 12:18:05 0 replicated volumes 12:18:05 0 CML entries allocated 12:18:05 0 CML entries on free-list 12:18:05 starting FSDB scan (833, 20000) (25, 75, 4) 12:18:05 0 cache files in table (0 blocks) 12:18:05 833 cache files on free-list 12:18:05 starting HDB scan 12:18:05 0 hdb entries in table 12:18:05 0 hdb entries on free-list 12:18:05 WorkerInit: Version Skew with kernel! Get a newer kernel! 12:18:05 WorkerInit: Kernel version is 2 . I don't know what it means. I would appreciate any clue about this. Thank you! Regards, AriyoReceived on 2003-11-05 00:17:35
