The debian/rules file in coda is not executable coming out | of CVS. The moment I changed it to be executable, dpkg-buildpackage | worked fine. The main reason I rebuilt coda-client packages from CVS was to test out whether disconnected startup/reintegration would work properly. I'm still getting about a 30 - 50% failure rate. What I mean by failure is the fact that the reintegration fails and venus crashes, waiting forever for me to debug it. In a previous thread, someone said something about data being looked up in RVM that wasn't supposed to be, but that was supposedly fixed by the latest CVS. So, I upgraded coda-client. Do I need to upgrade the server as well? Also, whenever it crashes, it seems that the only way to get up and working again is to initiate venus with the -init argument to clear the cache. Then, a little over every other time, it works when starting up disconnected. The other times, I have to reinitialize. I guess it doesn't help, too, that my laptop ran out of space. I deleted some of the .tar[.old] files in /var/lib/coda/spool/<uid> to clear up some space. I guess this could potentially be cause for data loss? (i.e., parts of KDE got messed up, my background changed back to the default, the fonts changed, etc.) - -- Jason A. Pattie pattieja_at_xperienceinc.com Xperience, Inc.
