I have ported the FreeBSD kernel stuff to Mac OS X. It's currently extremely slow, but I have so far managed to list, read and write things in(to) /coda/testserver.coda.cs.cmu.edu/playground/OSX_IS_ALIVE. It took 26 kernel panics but I think it's worth it. I would like someone from Apple say something about the licensing status before I dare to make the code available. I did look into the Darwin source while doing this and yes, I have picked a few lines as well. Then, if some kind of CVS repository could be set up somewhere it would be nice to have more people involved to make coda useful on the Mac platform.
