It should be possible, but it depends on a lot of things.

We only cache ip addresses in VM, so theoretically a restart should
clear it. But you said you already restarted it, so maybe the old
servername is still mentioned somewhere (/etc/coda/realms?)

A complete client reinit wil ofcourse always do the trick, but you will
lose the logged mutations and will have to re-hoard everything.
