I notice that the server host name is kept in files like hostname db/scm db/servers db/vicetab VSGDB as wanchai not as a fully-qualified domain name (wanchai.cc.gatech.edu). This causes failure at server startup time unless you have a search cc.gatech.edu entry in your /etc/resolv.conf file. The questions are: - Why are host names stored this way?
