Hello Jorge, citing my letter to this list from 27 May 2004 (right now it seems to be some problem with the mail archive...) ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.6 can do either Coda 6 or 5 kernel interfaces without any add-ons. The corresponding interface versions are 3 and 2. (For you there is no reason to use the old interface, which otherwise can be chosen by a kernel config option.) 2.4 has Coda 5 kernel interface ("version 2") out of the box but that is too old for current user space tools. If you apply http://coda.cs.cmu.edu/pub/coda/linux/kernel/linux-2.4-coda.patch say to 2.4.26, that provides Coda 6 kernel interface ("version 3"). ----------------------------------------------------------------------- With other words, either use a 2.6 kernel, or compile either the 2.4 kernel as a whole or just a module as in http://www.coda.cs.cmu.edu/maillists/codalist/codalist-2004/5967.html > ............. > WorkerInit: Version Skew with kernel! Get a newer kernel! > WorkerInit: Kernel version is 2 > .......... Regards, -- IvanReceived on 2004-06-08 05:06:20
