I finally got a working combination of coda today after compiling 6.0.5, 6.0.6 and 6.0.7. What I ran into is what appeared to be a broken vice-setup-scm script in 6.0.7 where it did not create the VSGDB file due to some missing code. I went to 6.0.5 from there but it didn't like the rpc2 package and had a failure with rpc2portmap. Finally I got 6.0.6 up and running on a SuSE 9.1 Pro box with the 2.6.5-7.104-default kernel with one exception. All the server init scripts work and codasrv starts properly. Venus also works and mounts /coda. My problem is that when I go to clog, I get this error "Unable to resolve addresses for Coda auth2 servers in realm 'MyServerName' " from the shell and after entering the default passwd "Invalid login (RPC2_FAIL (F))." My server is in a local peer to peer subnet that has no domain or DNS. The resolve is straight from /etc/hosts. Both client and server are on the same box to start with to get a working setup. Any ideas?? all processes appear to be running from a ps. root 575 1 0 17:44 ? 00:00:00 auth2 root 584 1 0 17:44 ? 00:00:00 rpc2portmap root 587 1 0 17:44 ? 00:00:00 updatesrv root 591 1 0 17:44 ? 00:00:00 updateclnt -h MyServerName root 597 1 0 17:44 pts/1 00:00:00 /bin/sh /usr/sbin/startserver root 613 597 0 17:44 ? 00:00:00 /usr/sbin/codasrv root 739 1 0 17:45 pts/1 00:00:00 venus really, ANY ideas would be helpful!! :^) thanks in advance!!
