Unfortunately, lately we've been getting inconsistencies more routinely than before. This morning I came in and found some inconsistencies that I couldn't fix. Here's a sample transcript: # cfs flushcache # service codaclient restart (this restarts venus and unloads and reloads the kernel module) # cd /path/to/inconsistent/object # ls -l savi.dl_ lrwxr-xr-x 1 admin 65534 36 Jul 11 19:07 savi.dl_ -> @7f000001.00001c8c.00009470_at_director # cfs br savi.dl_ savi.dl_ isn't inconsistent But obviously it is. The repair program gives the same sort of problem. And the console log file shows this: 09:10:24 Volume /httpd busy, waiting 09:10:42 Volume /httpd busy, waiting 11:05:11 MaxRetries exceeded...returning EWOULDBLOCK 12:05:08 Volume /httpd busy, waiting 12:35:01 Volume /httpd busy, waiting 12:40:01 Volume /httpd busy, waiting 12:40:24 Volume /httpd busy, waiting 13:35:01 Volume /httpd busy, waiting 15:40:29 Volume /httpd busy, waiting 17:35:03 Volume /httpd busy, waiting 17:40:26 Volume /httpd busy, waiting 18:05:03 Volume /httpd busy, waiting 18:35:09 savi.dl_ (606e1fc8.7f000001.1c8c.9470) inconsistent! 18:40:01 savi.dl_ (606e1fc8.7f000001.1c8c.9470) inconsistent! 18:45:00 savi.dl_ (606e1fc8.7f000001.1c8c.9470) inconsistent! 18:55:00 savi.dl_ (606e1fc8.7f000001.1c8c.9470) inconsistent! 19:05:01 Volume /httpd busy, waiting 19:05:18 savi.dl_ (606e1fc8.7f000001.1c8c.9470) inconsistent! Any ideas on 1) what might be causing this and 2) how to repair these files? -- Patrick Walsh eSoft Incorporated 303.444.1600 x3350 http://www.esoft.com/Received on 2005-07-12 11:36:10
