Hello Jan, Nice to hear from you. Pity about you and thanks for taking care of it, the Wiki was a very useful reference point. > It disappeared somewhere late last summer, I guess whoever was running > it (Gabriel Wicke?) looked at the history and decided that, for all > intents and purposes, it was an abandoned wiki. It was of course _not_ abandoned - even if one only would look at it being tidy, thanks to you. It was being used too. I did not check any access logs but at least I know I was using it myself. It is also linked to from different places (consider that intranets are not reflected by the search engines) and I directed other people to it miltiple times. We can only make guesses about Gabriels motivation as he did not answer to my repeated attempts to contact him. I do not believe that his decision to close the Wiki (one of apparently a bunch of other wikis he hosted and now closed!) depended on our usage of it. It looks rather like he simply does not (or can not) care any longer. I have found a sufficiently fresh copy of the Wiki at archive.org and am going to put the information back online. Allowing only edits via Coda should make the spamming problem diminish I guess. The only people needing the rights ought to be the ones present on this list for a long time so I do not foresee any spam problems. Until I am done would you "grey out" the wiki link on http://www.coda.cs.cmu.edu/ ? Regards, RuneReceived on 2014-01-31 03:15:00
