I am pleased to announce the release of version 0.9.9 of the OpenISR
system. This release includes the following changes:

- Performance improvements at runtime and during hoard and upload
- Support VirtualBox 3.1
- Support suspend/resume across different CPU types on VirtualBox 3.1
- Other changes; see changelog below

Pocket ISR has correspondingly been updated to version 0.9.9-1.

UPGRADE NOTES
-------------

For best performance, run "isr checkhoard -p" after upgrading to version
0.9.9.

As of this release, the VirtualBox driver always detaches CD and floppy
media from a parcel when it is suspended.

Newly-created VirtualBox parcels first resumed with VirtualBox 3.1 or
above will now be configured with a predetermined set of CPU feature
flags. This should allow VirtualBox parcels suspended on one host CPU
type to be resumed on machines with a different CPU type.

SUPPORTED LINUX DISTRIBUTIONS
-----------------------------

As of this release, we are producing binary packages (both 32-bit and
64-bit) for the following Linux distributions:

- Debian Lenny (5.0)
- Ubuntu Hardy (8.04)
- Ubuntu Jaunty (9.04)
- Ubuntu Karmic (9.10)
- Ubuntu Lucid (10.04)
- Fedora 11
- Fedora 12
- Fedora 13
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5

If your Linux distribution is not listed above but is sufficiently
recent to meet the system requirements (see the README for details), you
should still be able to build from source.
