Hey all, I've been having a look at coda for a bit, and it looks very nice - congratulations. I'm now trying to install the client, so I can have a look at how it is, and am running into a few problems. After installing the appropriate rpms (coda-debug-client-glibc-4.4.3-1.i386.rpm), and attempting to run it, I've hit a few problems. In kernel 2.1.105, the problems are as follows: # insmod coda /var/log/messages responses with Jun 10 16:06:06 gosling kernel: Coda Kernel/User communications module 2.0 which appears fine. Then I set up venus to use the testserver: # venus-setup testserver.coda.cs.cmu.edu 10000 /etc/services already has coda entries.. which also appears to complete fine. However, when running venus # venus & /var/log/messages gives: Jun 10 16:09:20 gosling kernel: coda_psdev_write: downcall, no SB! and nothing seems to happen. With 2.0.32, after installing the kernel-module rpm (coda-debug-kernel-2.0.32-module-4.4.0-2.i386.rpm), a depmod -ae returns: /lib/modules/2.0.32/fs/coda.o: unresolved symbol(s) lookup_dentry dput __put_user_1 __get_user_1 d_delete __wake_up __generic_copy_from_user get_super __up_wakeup kfree_s boot_cpu_data is_bad_inode __namei iget d_move d_alloc_root shrink_dcache_sb d_add __verify_write shrink_dcache_parent d_instantiate __generic_copy_to_user __down_failed Am I missing any obvious librarys? Doing anything completely wrong? I've followed all the instructions I could find.. The system I am trying to install on is a P120, with 64M ram, running Redhat 5.1. Any additional information available on request. Thanks in advance, Brad -- Bradley Marshall Sysadmin Plugged In SoftwareReceived on 1998-06-10 02:42:45
