I think you can ignore this message, it also appear in my kernel message. I guess it just indicates that Venus was trying to make a downcall too early (before /coda was mounted ?). Venus take some time to start up, so wait for a while and see what is shown by "ls /coda" ? Also, Coda has two logs which you can monitor the progress and have a better idea of what is happening.
