I even tried to modify the /usr/sbin/vice-setup-user script like the
following:

ci System:Administrators -204
nui mandrake 779

and a few lines further:

echo "$userid   changeme        admin user" > passwd.coda
echo "mandrake  mandrake        test user" >> passwd.coda
initpw -k "drseuss " < passwd.coda > auth2.pw
rm passwd.coda

and even then i cannot log as mandrake user, only as admin.

here's what i get:

clog mandrake
username: mandrake

but:

[root_at_client a]# clog admin   
username: admin
