Stranger and stranger. Just a reminder, I had installed the client on this machine and configured it to talk to the cmu test server. That DID work. Then I installed the server, I then rebooted, then I ran venus-setup again and venus -init, and I've shut down and restarted venus several times. It still doesn't work. coda is in lsmod device 67 is in conf.modules /dev/cfs0 exists, major 67 minor 0 /coda is mounted /usr/coda/etc/venus.log has mostly "beingRvmflush" and "endRvmflush" -- I just re-ran venus-setup, specifying testserver.coda.cs.cmu.edu Now ls /coda lists ftp.coda and playground. --- venus-setup localhost 20000 venus -init 07:37:46 Loading RVM data 07:37:47 starting VDB scan 07:37:47 1 volume replicas 07:37:47 0 replicated volumes 07:37:47 0 CML entries allocated 07:37:47 0 CML entries on free-list 07:37:48 starting FSDB scan (833, 20000) (25, 75, 4) 07:37:48 0 cache files in table (0 blocks) 07:37:48 833 cache files on free-list 07:37:48 starting HDB scan 07:37:48 0 hdb entries in table 07:37:48 0 hdb entries on free-list 07:37:49 Kernel version ioctl failed. 07:37:49 Initial LRDB allocation 07:37:49 Getting Root Volume information... 07:37:49 Venus starting... 07:37:49 /coda now mounted. Then codacon reports this.. codacon: bind to localhost failed, venus not running? codacon: bind to localhost failed, venus not running? codacon: bind to localhost failed, venus not running? connection::bandwidth eiger.murkworks.com 768049 964320 1295336 ( 07:37:56 ) connection::bandwidth 127.0.0.1 965250 1079913 1225490 ( 07:37:56 ) But clog still fails. Clearly I'm missing a step somewhere.
