Hello, a milestone has been reached and there is some usable software, directly runnable from Coda, available to the public. A similar setup, with a bigger software collection, has been in use internally for a long time. The public one needs time and maintainers to catch up, but it does exist now! For the moment it works out of the box on Linux 2.4 and later, without any additional dependencies on the host setup. You may want to check http://www.konvalo.org FreeBSD and other systems on x86 which include a Linux syscall interface will follow shortly, as most of the software is directly runnable. You can test, say /coda/konvalo.org/sw/pm/1/TOP/k/konf/V/0.3/L/1/TOP/S/linux-x86-elf/P/xloadimage/ENTRY/xloadimage which should work well on FreeBSD with kernel Linux ABI support. Later targets are Darwin on ppc and Solaris on sparc. I will be glad to hear any comments. Best regards, and happy Coda-ing! -- IvanReceived on 2004-09-14 13:16:01
