Aiee! Every time I send a message to this list, I format it carefully in emacs, with bullet lists and inset chunks of text marking quoted excerpts from other messages... and the mailing-list managers / web interface completely mangles all this, so that when I look at the messages in the archive with a url like http://www.coda.cs.cmu.edu/maillists/codalist/codalist-2007/8440.html it's quite hard to read. Then I feel bad for inflicting difficult-to-parse text upon the members of the coda list. Is there anywhere I can read what the formatting & rendering rules are for these messages, so I can live in harmony with them? -OlinReceived on 2007-05-02 09:01:50
