Sounds similar to my setup, except that I don't use ADSL, but a 56K
dialup. And I also have a desktop on 100Base-T in the mix. ADSL because
of it's asyncronous nature has the ability to really mess up the RPC2
timeout calculations. If you fetch a lot of data over the fast downlink,
it has a tendency of timing out writing data back through the slow
uplink.

Trying it out never hurts. We try to avoid anything that could lead to
(silent) loss of files, although there are ofcourse possible situations
for data loss. In general, the Coda client keeps backups of locally
modified files around and as long as you regularily backup the volumes
on the server most data should be at least recoverable.
